Name: Rhi.
Interests: Singing, reading, writing, acting... artsy sort of things that don't require fine motor skills. Showtunes are good, as long as I don't have to see the horrible fifties and sixties choreography that almost always goes along with them. I heart God. I like almost any music that isn't rap, country, or less than six years old; in other words, almost anything from 1999 back through the B.C. years. To sound very generic, I love talking with my friends. My older friends are especially fun to listen to. I prefer listening to talking (in many cases). At least, if I don't feel completely comfortable around someone... Expertise: Bible trivia, useless trivia, memorizing stuff, scratching backs... I'm shockingly good at finding things. If something is lost in my house, I end up finding it. Usually within two minutes. If it's not mine, anyway; then, I tend to never find it. I'm also a fairly good pessimistic optimist. | Gah. I finally completed a number of necessary things today. Slight problem -- this was the final deadline. The first one, changing my schedule, was not my fault. I have gone into the guidance office every single day this week to try and change it. Carr was either busy or sick every time but today at 3:15. So, I now have Anatomy and Physiology seventh hour second semester instead of Power of the Media. Yay!
Second thing: the Common Scholarship Application to UNI / Presidential Scholarship. I finally got everything finished and sent off today. The Presidential deadline is (ta-da!) today, so I hope it works. I'm not even technically eligible because of my class rank (damn you, unweighted grades!), despite my ACTs (which went up a point, thankyouverymuch). We'll see what happens there.
Luther sent me an updated financial aid award today. Because I got another point on my ACTs, they're now offering me $13,500 a year. That's a thousand more a year for one point. Tasty. Wartburg, however, is being rather stingy, in my opinion, and only offering me $12,000 for the Regent's. With the Science Symposium scholarship, that's still only $13,00, which leaves, as of now, sixteen or seventeen thousand more to cover. Ack. Luther's leading. It's really time to start the bartering. I hope it works.
Well... now I can tell my mom that I've sent off at least three big scholarships today (Presidential, CNS, SBS), as well as whatever others the common scholarship application covers. Woot. Can't shake a stick at that. I just hope it all went through, because that was a witch to fill out.

| Woot on a stick, I is a gonna be Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress! This does make me exceedingly merry, because this is my first part at CF that has involved neither meanness, motherhood, nor marriage to Kegan. Mwahahahaha. Very happy for this, I am! My brother is Sir Harry, which just makes me laugh because it means he has to knock up Amelia, who is now consequently sort of my sister. Ish. But yeah. I can't wait for rehearsals to start. There will be fun times ahead. Oooo, I get to be loud and obnoxious but still lovable with not a bit of bitchiness! Huzzah!

| Well... I just got a phone call from Weston Noble. At 9:20 on a Monday night. But still. That was kind of interesting. He called to see if I was going to go to Christmas at Luther on the 30th, what I planned to major in, what part I sang, if I was going to do the scholarship audition day in two weeks. Eek. I don't know if I'll do the audition day or not... all I have to work with are my solos from contest last year, and I haven't really practiced those much since last April. It would be kind of cool, though, if I could get an okay amount of money for music. I know "Go Down in de Lonesome Valley" shows off my low notes very well. But I digress.
I couldn't help but think that, if I was able to tell Beasley about this tomorrow morning, she would have kittens. She always spoke very highly of Mr. Noble. He was very surprised to hear that she had retired. *sigh* I hope I can pull things together fast enough to wrangle me some more money.

| I just got my acceptance letter from Luther. Woot! This pleases me. Right off the bat I've been offered a $12,500 scholarship -- 41% of the tuition. So far, Wartburg has only offered $9,000 -- 31% of tuition. Hmm. Well, when I go to Wartburg on Sunday to beg for more money on the Regent's Scholarship Day, I have a bargaining tool. Mwahaha... let the bartering begin.

| Just a random little squibble note here: I kind of like my new profile picture. It reminds me a bit of The Chronicles of Narnia, especially The Magician's Nephew. Sadly, it only shows on my Facebook. Gah. Stupid Xanga.
